dc.description.abstractAbstract: Objective: Behavioral patterns of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) patients. Design: This research is a descriptive study. The method of data gathering using structured interview including 56 questions and 3 sections 1) individual and social particulars 2) questions related to the behavioral patterns of patient about a) personal health b) environmental health. Setting: The field of this study is TB Control Center of Tabriz (TCCT). Participants: 95 patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, whose disease were confirmed by clinical or preclinical tests. Results: Results of this study, mostly using descriptive statistics were brought in 10 figures and 83 tables. According to the findings, the population is mostly female, married, uneducated, house keepers, with low income and working hours of more than 13 hours a day. The highest percent was 25-44 years old. 40% of study population had a history of smoking, 11% alcohol and 6.5% narcotics consumption, and also most of the participants possessed inappropriate behavioral patterns from the personal and environmental point of view. Conclusion: Referring the nurse’s role as the most important member of health and therapeutic team, and also considering the effects of effects of behavioral patterns in prevalence of TB, The findings of this study about personal habits, life style, age, sex and individual and his/her family’s health history can provide the nurse and other health professionals the useful in information about behavioral characteristics of the patients which is of great importance in controlling and secondary prevent of the disease.en_US
