The aim of this study was to determine the sensitivity patterns in isolated blood cultures of patients undergoing treatment in different wards of Imam Reza (AS), Sina, Children and Shahid Madani hospitals in Tabriz using DDA and MIC methods and also to examine the frequency of coding genes of virulence factors using PCR method and typing of Staphylococcus aureus isolates using rep-PCR method. Material and methods: In this study, in order to investigate the phenotype and determine the sensitivity of all 100 isolates of Staphylococcus aureus to the antibiotics used in the study, MIC methods (micro broth dilution) and disc diffusion agar were used. Ninety six sterile well microplates were used to perform the MIC and the antibiotic discs were used to perform the disc diffusion agar. In this study, the frequency of genes encoding fnbA, fnbB, cna and hla were determined by PCR technique. Also, isolation was performed by molecular method of rep-PCR. Results: The results of micro broth dilution and disc diffusion agar methods showed that there was a high degree of sensitivity to linezolid and vancomycin in the isolates, while erythromycin and clindamycin were the least effective in fighting infections. After PCR,81, 81, 73 and 30 percent of the isolates contained fnbA, fnbB, cna, and hla genes, respectively.en_US
