dc.description.abstractAbstracts: Introduction: An important element of quality assessment and improvement efforts in Health care services is the evaluation of client satisfaction. Satisfied clients respond more different than dissatisfied clients. Generally those who are satisfied continue the use of services, comply with treatment, follow up and often refer others to the family planning centers. Studies have proved the role of nurses and midwives in producing and developing the sense of satisfaction in clients. Methods & Materials: This is a descriptive study. Data were gathered by a five part questionnaire consisted of socio-demographic characteristics, statements regarding the objectives of the study and questions to determine client’s behavioral intentions and general satisfaction. The client’s satisfaction with family planning services were categorized by “Likert Scale” to 5 classes. Research population consisted of all women at the age of 15-49, who have used one of the birth control methods at least for 3 months. Medical Health Centers were selected through “Cluster sampling” and clients were selected through “Quota sampling” method. Research setting was Tabriz Medical Health Centers. Results: The findings showed that 90.4% of clients were satisfied and 9.6% were dissatisfied with family planning services regarding to client- health care provider communication. Sixty one percent of clients were dissatisfied with education while 39% were satisfied, and 66.2% of the clients were satisfied with the choice of birth control methods and 33.8% were not. On the whole 70.5% of the clients were satisfied with family planning services and 29.5% were dissatisfied. Discussion: The findings showed that the majority of client were satisfied with family planning services. However the level of client satisfaction with education was lower than other aspects. It might be as a results of poor quality of education in family planning services. So, there is need to further consideration of health care authorities in terms of client education.en_US
