Kidney Research Center, Imam Reza hospital, Faculty of medicine, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences Introduction. Primary Nephrotic syndrome (PNS) is one of the most common glomerular diseases and causes proteinuria in person that treat usually with corticosteroids but some patients show resistance. MicroRNAs are small molecules of 19-22 nucleotides and had differential expression during different disorders. Herein, miR-124-3p expression level was evaluated in Peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC). Material & methods. In this research, miR-124-3p expression level was evaluated in PMBC samples of patients with 2 common types of nephrotic syndrome including, 30 patients with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and 30 patients with Membranous Glomerulonephritis (MGN), in comparison to 24 healthy individuals as control via real-time PCR technique. Results. Selected microRNA expression level was measured in PBMCs isolated from blood samples. MiR-124-3p expression level did not statistically alter in none of patient groups, nephrotic syndrome (P= 0.295), FSGS (P= 0.237) and MGN (P= 0.488), compared to healthy controls.en_US
