dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to compare postoperative knee hemorrhage with and without trans-hexamic acid injection. Methods and material: In this clinical trial, patients undergoing Total knee arthroplasty divided into two groups. In the first group, the tourniquet is deflated after complet of surgical procedure. In the case group, 3 g of trans-hexamic acid is injected into the joint after the capsule closed with the inflated tourniquet and in the control group only inflated tourniquet was used. Then, the difference between hemoglobin loss and the number of packed cells were compared between both groups. Results: Postoperative hemoglobin levels were obtained from all patients 24 h, 48 h and 72 h post operatively to determine their hemoglobin level, which was not statistically significant between the two groups. 3).
