Background: Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer among women. Provision of appropriate level of care depends on an understanding of the needs of these patients. The current study aimed to assess the needs of women with breast cancer. Method: The present study is a descriptive-analytical study that was performed on 178 women with breast cancer at Tohid Hospital in Sanandaj using convenience sampling method from June 2018 to April 2019. Data were collected using SCNS (SF34) Supportive Care Needs Survey — short form 34 questionnaire. Then, using SPSS and Amos softwares, and ANOVA, independent sample T test, single sample T test, Pearson test and multiple linear regression and SEM (structural equation model) the data were analyzed. Results: Health information was the most important need of women with mean and standard deviation (41.09 ±12.04). Then psychological need with mean and standard deviation 34.21 ± 12.42 ranked second. Spouse education was the only predictor of need, so that in women whose husbands had primary education, the overall needs score was 32.37 points higher (P = 0.004). Conclusion: with regard to the high information and psychological needs of women with breast cancer, interventional programs should be designed to increase information about treatment, counseling, effects of medications, and reducing stress, anxiety and depression.en_US
