dc.description.abstractIn the recent study, the files of all patients who had a definite laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and were referred to Tabriz Imam Reza Hospital (91-95 years) were checked out, so early clinical and endoscopic diagnosis of this lesion is possible. Methods:In this cross-sectional study, 95 patients diagnosed with SCC laryngeal who sought care at Emam reza hospital of Tabriz from 1391 to1395 were included in the study and their medical files were surveyed and epidemiologic,clinical presentations and radiological information were extracted and were entered check list. Information collected includes age, sex, marital status, rural or urban, main patient complaint, exposure risk, addiction, lymph node involvement and location of the tumor.All of the analysis carried out by SPSS23 and the statistical significance level was presumed 0.05. Results: The frequency of laryngeal carcinoma was 95 in Imam Reza hospital during the years 1391 to1395 .The mean age of these patients was 62 years.Majority of participants(93.6%) were male,and 97.3%of them were married.About 60 percent of particiants were living in an urban setting.The most common clinical presentation of patients was hoarseness (88.4%)and frequency of resiratory distress ,that needed emergency surgery,was 5 person.The mean time for onset of symptoms was 9 months and the maximum incidence of symptoms is 48 monthes.The most important risk factor was cigarret(67.4%).About one–third of participants were addicted.In the pathology report,31.6%of patients had lymphadenoathy. In 49.5% of patients, the mass was in the glottis, and in26.3% of the patients, the mass was in both the glottis and supraglott.en_US
