Evaluation of Retinal Vascular Completion Age in Neonates with Treated Premature Retinopathy In Tabriz Nikukari Hospital in 2016-17
Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluation of retinal vascular completion age in neonates with treated premature retinopathy in Tabriz Nikukari hospital in 2016-17.
Materials and Methods: In this study, patients with retinopathy of preterm infants treated at ROP clinic of Nikukari hospital in Tabriz were enrolled. The present study included sex, age, birth weight, gestational age at the time of vascularization completion. Patients' information was reviewed for years 2016-17, which included initial visitation and follow-up information that did not require patients to be invited and re-examined.
Results: The mean age of the patients at the time of the final visit was 19.24±3.81 months. Of the 102 patients studied, 48 were male and 54 were female. The mean gestational age of the patients was 31.50±2.42 weeks. The mean birth weight of the studied patients was 1640.58±472.26 g and the most prevalence was in patients with birth weight above 1500 g (52.9%). The mean age of onset of treatment in the studied patients was 37.09±2.57 months. 92 patients were treated by injection and 10 by laser.
