The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of central nervous system tumors in children in the 10 years up to 2019. Materials and Methods : 100 children with a central nerve system tumor referring to 1-Pediatric Educational Center 2- Radiation Oncology Department of Shahid Madani Hospital 3- Neurosurgery Department of Imam Reza and Shohada Hospitals 4- Shahid Ghazi Hospital with inclusion criteria were identified and analyzed in the ten years leading up to the end of 2019. Checklist for each patient including information in patient records including 1- Demographic information 2- Primary clinical signs 3- Physical examination findings 4- Imaging findings 5-Pathologic type of tumor 6-tumor place 7- Types of treatment (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy) 8 - Treatment outcomes (complete remission, loss of follow up, under treatment, relapse, death) were extracted. Because the medulloblastoma tumors didn't have grading and biopsy couldn't be done on brain stem tumours ,then according to these grading eliminated from this research. Findings - According to the results of our study, out of 100 brain tumor patients, 51 (51%) were male and 49 (49%) were female. The mean age of the patients was 6.62±2.87 years. The most common brain tumors in children are astrocytoma , medulloblastoma , and ependymoma, respectively, which astrocytoma is the most common in girls and medulloblastoma in boys. The posterior fossa, the cerebellum and the brainsteam are the most common sites of involvement in the brain, respectively. 97% of patients underwent chemotherapy, 82% underwent surgery and 69% underwent radiotherapy. 42% of patients recovered, 20% were currently undergoing treatment, 20% died, and 16% had no follow-up.en_US
