Given the high prevalence of retinopathy in premature neonates and its serious complications in advanced cases and the necessity of treatment in advanced cases, treatment with premature neonatal retinopathy should be considered with the least possible side effects. To be employed. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the refractive changes after treatment of retinopathy of preterm infants. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective cross-sectional study, 5 patients with ROP who were treated at Nikokari Ophthalmology Center in Tabriz during the past year were divided into two groups, treated with laser and laser treated. Were. Refractive refraction and spherical equivalent were calculated. Results: Of the 60 patients studied, 11 (11.3%) received laser and 49 (81.7%) received intraocular injection. 65% of patients were male. Premature neonates with mean gestational age of 28.7 weeks had baseline myopia at baseline and their mean refraction was +1.09 diopters (+0.25 to +3 diopters). After treatment, the most common refractive error related to myopia was hyperopia, with a frequency of 50% and 46.3%, respectively. Strabismus was seen in 13 patients (21.7%), of which 3 (23.1%) were laser treated patients and 10 (76.9%) were injectable patients. The highest frequency was related to exotropia with the frequency of 11 cases (84.6%). The mean spherical equivalent in the studied patients after treatment was 0.13±1.93 diopters in the right eye and 0.10±1.76 diopters in the left eye.en_US
