dc.description.abstractAims: The aim of this study was to select some Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) according to the defined criteria and determine the prevalence of voiding dysfunctions among them. With determination of the status of these symptoms in LMIC, enough evidence for other related studies will be produced to facilitated decision making of national, local and international policies with the purpose of progression of the current status. Methods : After selection of the participating countries, for the evaluation of study sample which were selected from the general population; we used standard validated and reliable questionnaires in the language of each country. In this study UI questionnaire was filled for Egypt, Bangladesh, Brazil and Cameron. OAB questionnaire was completed for Bangladesh, Brazil and Cameron and LUTS questionnaire for males in Brazil and Cameron and LUTs for female in Iran, Brazil and Bangladesh was checked. For the data analysis, descriptive methods were used to indicate the prevalence and confidence interval. Results : The number of participants was 979 with mean age 41±15.3. According to the incontinence form 37.1% of participants experienced urinary symptoms at least once a weak. According to the over active bladder form, urinary frequency had a prevalence of 43.8%. Each form was analysed with subgroups of country, sex and age. According the LUTS for male form the highest prevalence was for nocturia with 53.5% following the sense of failure to empty the bladder with 44.4%. According to the female LUTS form, the highest prevalence was for urinary urgency with 65.3% following nocturia with 64.7%. The highest amount of discomfort was for urgency and nocturia.en_US
