The laryngeal mask (LAM) is profitable device which is used to manage the airway in general anesthesia and emergency situations. Its standard operation is simply described by Dr. Brain. By considering the essential of the issue and the fact that the success rate of LMA operation in different ages are not consistently done. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the success rate of LMA in the management of airway in 4 age groups, in case of greater success and enough efficiency and ease of use and its complications in specific age groups be compared with other age groups and other age groups are applied with separation and correct procedures. This will reduce complications in patients due to airway problems. Methods and products: The data collection method is available and it is used as a sample size of file information of 183 patients from 2 to 80 years old in Shohada Speciality Hospital who are candidates for orthopedic surgery and their anesthesia are managed by putting LMA and also administrated by two experienced anesthesiologists over 5 years’ experience. In preoperative checkup, the patients’ airway are evaluated in classical way and if there is no known case, such as airway problem, maxillofacial surgery and laryngeal surgery without head and facial injury, with teeth and no head and neck malformations then the patients are divided in four groups: preschool and child age groups (2 to 13 years old) adolescent group (13 to 19) years old and adults (19 to 45) and middle and elderly age (45 to 80) and are compared to each other. The number of attempts that are done until the successful preparation and occurrence of complications such as laryngospasm and presence of blood on the LMA are evaluated in 4 groups. Results: The highest rate of easy operation of laryngeal mask for the first time without resistance is observed in adolescents (97/1%) and adults (91/3%). The least rate of laryngeal mask operation mask for the first time without resistance is performed in the pre-school and child age group with (77/3%). This case is 80% in middle age and elderly. Also, in the study of laryngeal mask operation complication only one patient (0/5%) has laryngospasm and in two patients (1/1%) blood is observed on the mask. In this study, the time of success operation in (89%) of cases is below 15 seconds and in (10/8%) of cases is 15 seconds and higheren_US
