dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem-based education on improving the performance of medical students in patient management interventions. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional and experimental study, undergraduate medical students are trained in lectures and work at the Mullah at Tabriz Clinical Center. In this research, the research samples were randomly divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group was trained in training problems and the control group was trained by faculty members of the emergency department under the traditional education (lecture). At the beginning and end of the study, students' performance was measured using a standard checklist approved by the Ministry of Health. Results: In general evaluation of trainees' performance after intervention, 39 (54.2%) in the intervention group and 33 (44.8%) in the control group had good performance in the treatment of traumatic patients, but There was no significant difference between the two groups (p = 409). There were no significant differences between the two groups before and after intervention in each of the fields of postoperative management.en_US
