The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes of macular thickness after scleral buckling surgery in patients with retinal rheumatoid dolmani. In many cases, the successful anatomic results are not associated with good functional results. One can determine the success rate of this procedure and the relationship of macular thickness changes to visual acuity return. Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study was performed on all patients with retinal rheumatoid arthritis from 2017 to 2019 who underwent scleral buckling surgery at Nikokari Eye Hospital in Tabriz, Iran. Were studied, entered the study and evaluated at least 2 months after surgery for best-corrected visual acuity, macular center thickness, average macular thickness, macular volume, and macular layer thickness and returned to normal macular outer layers. And compared 21 out of the 103 patients who underwent surgery The rats were included in the present study, at least two months after surgery for best-corrected vision and macular changes were evaluated by OCT, and each eye was operated on by the same healthy control group, and information was obtained in pre-prepared forms. The data were recorded and then statistically analyzed. Findings: Visual acuity was significantly reduced in the treated eyes, and changes in the thickness of IS-OS BrM, OPL-BrM layers, and SE and density of Sup Para Fovea and Foveal Density were significantly reduced in the surgical eyes.en_US
