dc.description.abstract | Introduction: breast cancer is very common and is second common cancer
between women in the world. Understanding sift methods and doing regular
diagnostic test has a significant role in reducing incidence and death of cancer.
Therefore this research aims to investigate the effects of training based on belief of
health volunteer style on sift behavior of breast cancer with local language between
health care liaisons in Abhar.
Materials and Methods: this study is a pre-post test and fild study with
control group. Health care liaisons participated in this study. 6 general health care
center and 10 stations are active in Abhar city. 2 centers selected randomly and
72 health ceare liaisons that parisipated in this study divided in intervention and
control groups. Data collected by health volunteer belief questionnaire that
compose of 61 questions with 8 items and its Cornbach's Alfa was 90%. In first
step demographic data and health volunteer questions completed by both groups
then intervention group trained for 7 sessions that each of them was 120 seconds
and implemented one time every week. After intervention, the questionnaire
answered again by both groups. Collected data analyzed by covariance, T, and x2
test.
Results: results from x2 and independent t test showed there is no significant
differencest between control and intervention groups in age, age of starting period
, knowledge, job, income, number of children, type of feeding, breast disceases in
one self and her family, and self breast test. Also there were no significant
differences between self-efficiency, self-testing and hindrance of test but there
was significant differences about understood usefulness of mammography before
and after intervention (p <0.05). Results of co-variance test, before and after
intervention showed significant differences between understood usefulness and
hindrance of breast cancer sift (breast self -test and mammography) and selfefficacy between control and intervention groups (p<0.05).
Conclusion: training based on local language and culture can increase
awareness of women about breast cancer sift and increases early detection of
breast cancer and reducing related problems. | en_US |
