Influenza viral infections cause a wide range of respiratory diseases, which are a model yearly and are responsible for significant illness and death in children. Influenza with its high penetration potential is a potential cause of global pandemics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and prognosis of influenza in children admitted to Tabriz Children's Hospital. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective descriptive study, patients admitted to Tabriz Children Hospital with suspicion of influenza virus infection during the last 5 years and sent a sample of pharyngeal secretions to a laboratory for the study of virology by PCR method. And positive reports will be subject to a statistical survey. Results: The mean ± standard deviation of the patients' age was 47.39 ± 37.17 months with a median of 48 months. The minimum age was 2 months and the maximum month was 156 months. 61 cases (53.5%) were boys and 53 cases (46.5%) were girls. The frequency of the prevalence of different subtypes of influenza was observed in the subtype A / H3N2, which was 87 cases (77%). The abundance of A / H1N1 subtypes was 2 cases (1.8%), subtype B was 23 (20.4%), and subtypes A (9%) had no abundance. The highest incidence of winter disease was 63 (56.3%).en_US
