Introduction:In the intraoral condition, the restoration must have sufficient strength to withstand repeated masticatory forces. the purpose of this study is to compare the flexural strength of BioHpp and zirconia in 3-unit fixed partial dentures with standard preparation. Materials and methods: Mandibular first premolar and first molar acrylic teeth were shaved in a full-ceram conventional preparation method with shoulder margin.Impression was done and poured with epidural acrylic material. After casting process, metal die was made without any irrigularities. The impression of die were made for 26 times and moldes were poured by type IV stone.casts were divided into two groups(N=13).The first group was used for making zirconia FPDs and the second group was used for making BioHpp FPDs.Samples were loaded by universal testing machine at a speed of 0/5 mm/min until fracture occurred. The data of failure load were registered in Newtons (N).The U Mann-Whitney test analysis was performed using SPSS17 software and a significant level of p <0.05 was considered. Results:The mean failure load for zirconia group is 809.61 ± 459.10 and for BioHPP group is 723.07 ± 168.83, According to this difference,There is no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P = 0.614). Conclusion: Considering the limitations of this study, it can be concluded that BioHpp and zirconia FPDs have the potential to withstand occlusal forces and there is no difference between fracture strength of these two materials.en_US
