dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the microbiology and frequency of hospital mortality in patients admitted with diagnosis of cerebrospinal fluid shunt infection. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, all admitted patients with Shunt infection at Imam Reza Educational Center of Tabriz were studied and the necessary information is extracted from patient’s hospital records and they were analyzed using the spss software. Results: In this study, 100 patients were selected. Patients' data were studied and necessary information including age, sex, subjective disease leading to cerebral tracheal contraction, cerebral palsy infection, cerebrospinal fluid culture, the number of white blood cells in the cerebrospinal fluid, the duration of the brain shunt, the type of brain shunt, the brain shunting location were extracted from the patient records.en_US
