dc.description.abstract: Due to the high toxicity of paraquat and the importance of early onset of supportive and symptomatic treatments, it is possible to recover and reduce complications when the treatment is started as soon as possible after the ingestion (6- 12 hours). Therefore, the study of symptoms, complications and demographic and epidemiological findings in patients with paraquat poisoning in different geographical areas is necessary. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the Prevalence of poisoning poisoning with paraquat and to investigate its symptoms and complications in Sina Hospital from 2011 to 2017. Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 28 patients with paraquat poison which were admitted to Sina Hospital during 2011 to 2017 were evaluated according to entry and exit criteria and required information in the researcher checklist. Which its validity and reliability were confirmed by the faculty members of the university. Results: 28 records were submitted to the study after the first study. The prevalence of poisoning with paraquat is 0.2357% (total poisoning = 11879). Information showed that in about half of the cases, poisoning was more than 40 mg/kg of body weight, and gastrointestinal and central nervous system side effects along with other complications had the highest percentage of complications.en_US
