Our aim was to evaluating different immunohistochemistry markers for diagnosing early stage MF and differentiating it from Parapsoriasis. Methods This was a retro-prospective cohort of 48 patients in whom the diagnosis of MF (27) and LPP (21) were stablished between March 2012 and March 2017 by histology. Among these, 9 patients with MF and 7 patients with LPP were excluded because of insufficient tissue blocks. After preparing new slides from paraffin blocks of these specimens, imunohistochemical markers for CD26, CD3, CD5, CD7 and CD8 were stained. Results Among 18 patients with patch-stage of MF diagnosis, 11 patients show strong expression (>70%) of CD26 marker in contrary to LPP, in which none of 14 cases expressed CD26 strongly, this difference was statically significant (P<0.05). Loss of expression of CD7 was prominent in MF. Difference in CD3 and CD8 expressions between MF and LPP were not significant, as these two markers are seen in both reactive and neoplastic forms.en_US
