dc.description.abstractAbstract: Introduction: knowledge, attitude and skills of nurses regarding evidence-based nursing are one of important individual potential in implementation of these cares. There is no evidence indicated that Iranian nurses having these individual potential and also organization potential. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determination of nurses’ perception about individual and organization potentials in evidence-based nursing. Methods: This study has a descriptive design. In this study all nurses (n= 600) working in teaching hospitals affiliated to Tabriz University of medical sciences participated. For data gathering the “knowledge about evidence-based nursing, Evidence-based Practice Attitude Scale, Development of an evidence-based practice questionnaire and a questionnaire about organization potential for nurses questionnaires. These questionnaires were used after precise translations and accurate validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted by SPSS software using descriptive statistics. Results: Most nurses were female (87%), having BS degree (97.5%), having penmani employment status (47.8%), and are clinical nurse (84.3%). The average age of nurse was 34.7 years and their clinical experiences were 10.5 years. Results showed that the knowledge of 274 nurses (45.7%) was moderate, the attitude of 394 nurses (65.7%) was moderate, and the skills of 411 nurses (68.5%) were moderate and most of the nurses (81%) believed that organization potentials about evidence based nursing is very weak. Conclusion: Appropriate level of nurses' attitudes can be a good potential in promoting evidence-based nursing among Iranian nurses. More attention to promoting the awareness and skills of nurses in evidence-based care seems necessary.en_US
