Abstract: Introduction: Urbanization and socio –economic changes along with women engagement have lead the children to be kept in kindergartens and caring of preschool children has faced changes, depriving them of mother affection. This has resulted in concerns about ill influences on psychological evolution of child. Hence this investigation was carried out with the aim of comparing attachment style & Anxiety status of kindergarten and non -kindergarten children. Methods and Materials: 126 kindergarten children and 112 non –kindergarten children referring to health care centers of Tabriz were selected in random multistep method. Information was collected through demographic characteristics, Spence's anxiety and kinship attachment questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multiple regression and descriptive statistics in SPSS software. Results: No significant difference was observed between kindergarten children attachment score (M=35.04, SD=5.07) and non –kindergarten (M=36.5, SD=5.45) (t=-1.48, p=0.14). More ever there was no statistical significant difference between two groups' children anxiety (p=0.11, t=-1.60). There was a positive and direct correlation between children anxiety degree and their attachment status (r=0.51). Family and child social and individual variables including having or not having individual resting room, parents, education and years of attending kindergarten can almost give the ability of predicting child attachment and anxiety status. Discussion and Conclusion: Kindergarten by itself cannot influence children anxiety and attachment status and the role of some intermediate factors can have an important effect in developing child behavior.en_US
