dc.description.abstractPurpose:Preventing illness and improving the health of the people is due to the promotion of awareness and health. With the emphasis on the important role of health ambassadors in increasing awareness and encouraging community to health, this study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and skill of health ambassadors in Maragheh College of Medical Sciences in 1396. Materials and Methods: The present study is a descriptive-survey method in terms of purpose, applied, and method. The statistical population consisted of health ambassadors covered by the health center of Maragheh city, and their number is based on the information received by 6000 people and the estimated sample is 374 people who have been removed by stratified random sampling method. . Three types of knowledge, attitude and practice questionnaire were used to collect data. To analyze the research hypotheses, t-test for single-sample group and Pearson correlation coefficient for regression and analysis of variance were used. Findings: Knowledge, attitude and skill of ambassadors of health in Maragheh city in the area of health programs are above average. The obtained t were 6.88, 24.29 and 8.20, respectively, all three At the level of 0.05 are significant. There is a positive and significant relationship between knowledge, attitude and skill of health ambassadors in Maragheh city in the field of health and self-care. The correlation coefficient between knowledge and attitude with ambassadors skill was 0.29 and 0.49 respectively, which is significant at 0.01 level. The knowledge and attitude of health ambassadors have a positive and significant effect on their skills and performance in the field of health and self-care. There was no significant relationship between gender, education and age of health ambassadors with their knowledge, attitude and skills.en_US
