dc.description.abstractIntroduction: As the aging population grows, the role of programs and retirement funds is also gaining momentum. The present study was conducted with the aim of comparative study of quality of life amongst older people that covered retirement funds in Tabriz city. Method: Based on descriptive-analytic approach, the research was a cross-sectional that was conducted on 219 people who were covered in retirement funds in Tabriz city. According to stratified sampling, the participants were recruited on the initial distribution of the older people in the three types of funds. The quality of life compared using LEIPAD. Results: The total scores of quality of life was not statistically significant difference among the national pension, the social security, and the armed funds (p=0.13). There was no significant difference between the physical dimensions, self-care domains, cognitive dimension, anxiety and depression, social dimension, sexual satisfaction, gendar and the quality of life of insured persons (p≤0.05). Furthermore, there was significant difference between the life satisfaction scores among the retired individuals in different insurance (p= 0.004). Conclusion: Retirement Income Funds in Iran were not appropriately focused on the unmet needs of older people. The framework and services for the elderly, as an example of supportive networks, can provide one of the most appropriate means for dealing with aging problems.en_US
