dc.description.abstractBackground: Psychosocial factors at the workplace have been considered as important factors affecting in health. Purpose: The survey Psychosocial work conditions and its relation to the organizational structure in Ardabil hospitals nursery methods: The cross-sectional descriptive- analytical research was conducted among managers, metrons, head nurses, different departments and nursing staff in Ardabil hospitals. 490 of the two public hospitals and two private hospitals were clustered and then each section Randomly selected. In order to study psychosocial dimensions, job content was used to examine the organizational structure dimensions of Robbins questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. Results: Decision latitude with the mean score of 64.7was higher than the mean total scores, but in other dimensions of psychosocial factors, was lower than mean total scores. The organizational complexity, formalization and centralization were moderate, relatively high and moderate, respectively. Spearman's correlation test revealed weak and reverse correlation among psychological job demands with organizational complexity, formalization and centralization; alsoweak and direct correlation between social supports and complexity; weak and inverse correlationbetween social supports with centralization. In addition, physical job demands hadweak and inverse correlationwith complexity as well as direct and weak correlation with centralization. However, very poor overall relationship was observed between organizational structure and psychosocial factors. Conclusion: The findings of this study revealed that psychosocial conditions of employees in the hospital setting are somewhat influenced by the structural dimensions of working system and structural redesign of working system based on sociotechnical systems theory can be effective in improving the psychosocial work conditions.
