dc.description.abstractAbstract: Background: The symptoms typically associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) such as acne, hirsutism, irregular menses, amenorrhea, obesity and infertility are a major source of psychological morbidity and can negatively affect quality of life (QoL). The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship of eating behavior and nutritional attitudes with specific quality of life in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted through random sampling among 150 women with PCOS referred to the endocrine clinic of Imam Reza Hospital and gynecology and obstetrics clinic of Al Zahra Hospital in Tabriz in 2015. Data were collected by three valid and reliable questionnaires (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Questionnaire (PCOSQ), Three factor eating questionnaire (TFEQ-R18) and Eat-26 questionnaire. Descriptive and analytical statistics were performed using SPSS software (version 21). For analyzing data, simple linear regression, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Multiple regression were used. Results: Base on study results, there was negative and significant correlation between the quality of life with eating behavior and nutritional attitudes. Also, the quality of life in PCOS women had significant correlation with their BMI, employment status, gravidity and abortion. Conclusion: Based on the present study, eating behavior and nutritional attitudes are associated with the quality of life in PCOS women. So, attention to these issues is essential for better health planning of this womenen_US
