Introduction: Research and development of medicinal products derived from natural sources, especially antibiotic compounds, has strategic importance. Eliminating the microbial balance of the intestine and creating colon dysbiosis can lead to diseases such as IBS, IBD, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Medicinal herbs with antibiotic activity can be helpful in modifying the intestinal flora and improve the condition. Iran has rich source of medicinal herbs, so this study can be an important step towards the using of this national wealth. Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Zingiber officinale, Cinnamomum verum, trachyspermum ammi, Cuminum cyminum and carum carvi essential oils on some effective microorganisms in dysbiosis. Methods: essential oils were purchased from Barij Essence Kashan. Lyophilized Microorganisms were purchased from Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST). the culture media prepared, and well was done. After 24 hours, the diameter of the inhibition zone was measured. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) studied by Microdilution and Macrodilution methods. The results were interpreted according to CLSI standards. Results: Cinnamomum verum essential oil showed the most inhibitory effect on all microorganisms. However, has no effect on the Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pichia kudriavzevii, Kluyveromyces marxianus, Candida krusei. essential oils of Trachyspermum ammi , Cuminum cyminum and Carum carvi showed a moderate inhibitory effect. Zingiber officinale essential oil has effective on Lactobacilli casei and Lactobacilli plantarum, and has no effect on others. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the Trachyspermum ammi and Cinnamomum verum Essences have the best inhibitory effect on the pathogens and, at the same time, has less inhibitory effect on the good microorganisms that can be promising to make the effective drug.en_US
