dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, we investigated the expression of miR-155 and miR-181b in uterus and effect of Genistein on expression of these two miRNAs in ovariectomized rats.
Materials and methods: 40 female Wistar rats in weight range of 180- 220 were divided into 4 groups of control, Sham, ovariectomized (OVX) and ovariectomized+ Genistein treatment (OVX+ G) accidentally. Genistein was administered with a dose of 1 mg/Kg/dayfor8 weekssubcutaneusly.Effects of this intervention on expression of miR-155 and miR-181b were studied by Real-Time PCR method.
Results: Ovariectomy increased miR-155 expression and decreased miR-181b expression in uterus of rats (p< 0.05). Genistein down- regulatedmiR-155 expression and up- regulated miR-181b expression in uterus of ovariectomized rats (p<0.05). | en_US |
