dc.description.abstractIntroduction :The elderly population is increasing day by day and it is necessary to pay attention to the situation of this age group in order to promote their health and prevention of diseases and problems of aging. An example of these problems is urinary incontinence. Urinary incontinence is a complaint of any voluntary urinary leakage. This complaint is one of the most common problems in the elderly, which has an unpleasant effect on their life expectancy, and affects all individual and social activities. Urinary incontinence is a physical disability that accompanies social isolation and leads to anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. It affects the various social, psychological, occupational, family, physical and sexual aspects of the individual and limits one's ability to enjoy daily activities, social relationships, travel and personal relationships. Regarding the lack of willingness of the elderly in treatment, we decided to first consider the causes of non-treatment of urinary incontinence in the elderly villages of Tabriz Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study that was conducted on elderly women and men over 60 years of age (200n =) living in villages of Tabriz city. Sampling method was used to determine the number of villages in Tabriz city. Then, the number of elderly (male to female) with urinary incontinence was determined. In the next stage, the elderly were treated or not. Data collection tools include: The International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire (ICIQ), a standard questionnaire for determining urinary incontinence, types and causes of urinary incontinence, and has a high degree of reliability and reliability with internal consistency. The questionnaire (standard) for assessing quality of life and the effects of urinary incontinence in patients (THE KING'S HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE). Includes 8 subjects in general health dimensions - Role limitation - Social constraints - Individual relationships - Emotional factors - Sleep and energy - Consequences of urinary incontinence Be Questionnaire 9 (English) Knowledge about urinary incontinence and the reasons for the lack of treatment seeking in patients with urinary incontinence. In this research, relationship, individual and background factors, marital status, status quo, the way of delivery and disease, with knowledge of types and treatment of urinary incontinence were investigated. Conclusion: In the study of the elderly living in the villages of Tabriz, the total incidence rate of married women and men was higher than single Housewives, carpenters and illiterates, and male farmers, farmers and illiterates were high. There was more illness in hypertension and diabetes and prostate disease. In women, the number of births - the number of children and normal delivery had a major role. Health care providers (health care providers) should pay more attention to educating the elderly in preventing them.en_US
