dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to evaluate the antibiotic consumption pattern given, at Imam Reza Hospital in Tabriz. Materials and methods: In terms of medical prescription and response to treatment, 600 incidents considered over two years, from 1395 to 1396 in Tabriz Imam Hospital. The information gathered within a questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS (Ver. 16 Inc.). Results: Of the individuals administered antibiotic, including 59.55% men and 40.45% women. The subjects receiving antibiotics mean age was 42.25 years. Series of studies have the 6 antibiotics’ consumption were the leading; the highest and the lowest amount of antibiotics used in Surgery (14.48%) and the Anesthesia (0%), respectively. In different parts of the hospital for two years, the highest and the lowest dose of antibiotics administered among the others were vancomycin (57.78%) and linezolid (56.1%), respectively. Conclusion: The results indicate that there is no significant correlation on consumption dose in 1395 and 1396, but the frequency of antibiotic use decreased by 1395 until 1396, which indicates the curriculum effect of antibiotic consumption pattern in Imam Reza Hospital in Tabriz, and it, requires the great effort to better manage the program by hospital directors and doctorsen_US
