Introduction: Carpet weaving affect inappropriate static work stations in unconventional work shifts in the occurrence and exacerbation of musculoskeletal disorders in carpet weavers. T The aim of this study was to measure the activity and exhaustion of the muscles of the waist and shoulder region by surface electromyography in two traditional and modified workstations. therefore, undesirable physical condition results in more energy consumption and early fatigue Method and materials: First, a traditional LOOM and a modified loom was stationed in a controlled atmosphere workshop . 18 right-handed men with an average age of 38 years and an average work record of 11.05 years, started texting in both types in two time two hours in one day. meanwhile, by means of electromyography, the activity of the left and right the Trapezius and Erector spinae muscles were measured as rms and mnf indices. Results: Data analysis showed no significant difference (p <0.05) between two workstations. But Trapezius muscle has a higher frequency Scope and frequency intensity in most of the working times in traditional loom. And the Erector spinae muscle had a higher frequency and lower amplitude in the traditional station. Conclusion: Based on the results obtained from this study, the work at the modified station for traposis muscle activity is more appropriate than the traditional station, but is suitable for the muscle of the lumbar region of the traditional station.Since the subjects studied in this study have a high work history and the probability of getting used to a kind of posture can affect muscle activity. Therefore, it is suggested that more studies be done, especially on beginnersen_US
