dc.description.abstractAbstract: Background and Purpose: It has been estimated that about 415 million adults are suffering from diabetes all around the world, which will be increased to 642 million by 2040. Diabetes has been recognized as main of many physical and mental disorders. Sexual dysfunction and Lack of marital satisfaction may be a long term consequence of diabetes, which is often ignored in surveillance programs provided for them this study aimed to compare sexual function, quality of life and sexual satisfaction in women with and without type 2diabetes referred to health centers in Sanandaj. Materials and methods: Materials and methods: A cross - sectional study was 2016-2017 years conducted on 127 women with type 2 diabetes and 127 non-diabetic women. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire for basic and demographic information. (FSFI), (SF-36) and (ENRICH) tests were used for evaluation of Female Sexual Function Index, quality of life and Marital satisfaction respectively. Data analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance and group score (MANOVA) were compared. Results: The mean (SD) of age was in control group 40/85 (7/5) and in diabetic group 46/7 (5/2). The mean (SD) sexual performance (total) was in control group29/89 (9/8), and in diabetic group 28/83 (11/1).The mean (SD) quality of life (total) was in control group39/00 (21/27) and in diabetic group 22/42 (19/78). Mean (SD) of marital satisfaction was in the control group114/5 (36/40) and in diabetic group 108/51 (34/87). All of differences between the two groups were statistically significant (p=0/000). Conclusion: Based on The results showed that the average of sexual function, quality of life and marital satisfaction in diabetic group was less than control group. Due to the strength and survival of their families and the community healthy and full time depends on improving these factors, the results can health officials and health care providers of patients with type 2 diabetes in planning for prevention, causal, treatment and counseling for sexual dysfunctions, marital satisfaction, quality of life and help.en_US
