dc.description.abstractThis study is aimed at evaluating the applicability of the Jouyban-Acree model for predicting the solubility of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in binary and ternary solvent mixtures at different temperatures by employing a large solubility data set. The solubility is predicted in solvent mixtures at different temperatures within an acceptable error range based on the experimental solubility data of PAHs in mono-solvents. The results reveal that the Jouyban-Acree model could be recommended for practical applications in chemical industries. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
