Mathematical representations reported by Li et al. for a number of cosolvency models are carefully examined concerning the models' abilities to predict the solubility of maltitol in binary aqueous mixtures of methanol and ethanol at various temperatures. Some further recommendations on computational methods are also provided to be employed in the future research works. Preferential solvation of the solution was also investigated to provide better understanding of the dissolution process.
