dc.description.abstract | We describe a case of carotid-esophageal fistula due to retention of an ingested foreign body in a 65-year-old woman. Late diagnosis resulted in severe hemorrhage and postoperative cerebrovascular accident because of the impossibility of repairing the carotid artery due to severe local inflammation. | |
