| dc.description.abstract | We aimed to evaluate the contribution of the subtraction technique in the detection of acute MS plaques. In this descriptive analytical study, 30 patients (12 male and 18 female with mean age of 32.807.31 years) with MS were evaluated with MRI with contrast. After acquiring T1W images before and after contrast injection, T1subtraction images were obtained. Enhancement related to MS plaques was compared between T1W and T1subtraction techniques. In T1W images, 38 plaques were enhanced, while in subtraction technique 51 plaques were enhanced. Subtraction technique compared to T1W imaging showed more enhanced plaques (1.701.14 vs. 1.260.69 ,p=0.08). In 9 patients, number of enhanced plaques in T1W imaging was lower than subtraction technique (13 Plaques). Also, subtraction technique compared to T1W imaging had significantly larger plaque enhancement size (0.770.33 vs. 0.580.26, p=0.007) and better contrast ratio (8.002.01 vs. 0.120.19, p=0.003).,
هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی نقش تکنیک subtraction در شناسایی پلاک های حاد MS می باشد.در این مطالعه توصیفی تحلیلی، تعداد 30 بیمار (12 مذکر و 18 مؤنث با میانگین سنی 31/780/32 سال) مبتلا به MS تحت ارزیابی با MRI با ماده کنتراست قرار گرفتند. بعد از گرفتن تصاویر T1W قبل و بعد از تزریق ماده کنتراست، تصاویر T1subtraction نیز تهیه شدند. Enhancement مربوط به پلاک های MS بین تکنیک های T1W و T1subtraction مورد مقایسه قرار گرفتند. در تصاویر T1W بعد از تزریق ماده کنتراست 38 مورد پلاک تشدید شدند در حالی که در تکنیک subtraction در 51 مورد پلاک تشدید شده بود که تکنیک subtraction در مقایسه با تصویربرداری T1W بعد از کنتراست تعداد پلاک های enhance شده بیشتری نشان داده بود (14/170/1 در برابر 69/026/1، 08/0=p). در 9 بیمار تعداد پلاک های enhance شده در T1W کمتر از تکنیک Subtraction بود(13 پلاک). همچنین تکنیک subtraction در مقایسه با تصویربرداری T1W بطور بارزی وسعت enhancement پلاک بزرگتر (33/077/0 در برابر 26/058/0، 007/0=p) و میزان ratio contrast بیشتری داشت (01/200/8 در برابر 19/012/0، 003/0=p). | |
