Calcium enriched mixture is a material which has been in 2008 introduced to the world of endodentics. CEM has shown desired results in apexogenesis and pulptomy treatments of permanent teeth, perforation furca and external and internal analysis of teeth root. According to this theory it can be concluded that CEM can be used as barrier of channel mouth in bleaching. Methods and materials: 48 extracted human teeth were endodontically treated and 3 mm of filling was removed and Barrier material was used instead of it. Barrier materials included CEM used in group 1 and MTA used in group 2. Teeth of group 3 were filled with 3 layers of Cyanoacrylate for positive control of orifice and for negative control, orifice of group 4 left without filling.the 30% hydrogen peroxide associated with the sodium perborate was left in the pulp chamber for 1 week, and then the samples were immersed in lab tube containing potassium chromate which becomes blue at presence of peroxide hydrogen. In dye penetration evaluation, highest dye penetration was measured in contact surface with bleaching material. Moreover dye penetration level was determined based on following scoring method: 0: without change in color, 1: light blue, 2: dark blue Results: the Chi-square test is used for comparing the abundance. All cases of P<0.05 were considered as significant, statistically. Conclusion: MTA material indicted that 50% of samples indicated no change in color and level of dye penetration was light blue in 50% of samples. Dark blue was not observed in the samples .The Chi-Square test shows that the amount of MTA color penetration with positive control group is the same, and there is not any differences. (p=0.40). CEM material indicated that 58.3% of samples had no change in color and dye penetration level was light blue in 41.7% of samples. Dark blue was not observed in samples. The Chi-Square test shows that the amount of CEM color penetrating with positive control group is the same and dose not have any meaningful differences, but shows a meaningful differentiation with negative control group . (p=0.001). Ghi-square test indicated that flooding property of the two materials CEM and MTA was similar and they have no significant difference with each other (P=0.68%). Discussion: CEM has the same flooding properties and effects as MTA against bleaching material.
