Solubility of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is one of its important features which affects other properties like microleakage and biocompatibility. Regarding antimicrobial effects of silver nano-particles, the mixture of MTA and silver nano-particles can serve as an appropriate root-end filling material providing good mechanical and chemical properties. Therefore, this study was aimed to compare the solubility of MTA with and without silver nano-particles in disitilled water and synthetic tissue fluid (STF). Materials and Methods: In this study, 12 samples of each WMTA and WMTA-NS were prepared then each were divided into two subgroups (n=6). One of each subgroups was immursed in distilled water and the other one in STF. Solubility of experimental groups was evaluated in 2, 5, 9, 14, 21, 30, 50, and 78-day intervals. Two-way ANOVA was utilized to determine the significancy of difference in solubility of experimental groups. Repeated measures two-way ANOVA was used to evaluate the solubility process in different intervaks. P<0.05 was considered significant in this study. Results: According to Two-way ANOVA statistics, solubility of WMTA and WMTA-NS in distilled water was more than STF, totally (P<0.05). Also, the solubility of WMTA and WMTA-NS was similar in both solutions (P>0.05). Conclusions: Adding silver nano-particles to WMAT would not affect its solubility. Also, solubility of tested materials was more in distilled water in comparison to synthetic tissue fluid.
