The frequency of postoperative in class II premolars composite restorations in referred patients to the department of restorative dentistry, in dental faculty of Tabriz in 2014

Abstract
Posterior composite restorations are the one of the most usual dental treatments among patients. The goal of this study was determining the frequency of postoperative sensitivity in ClassII premolars composite restorations in referred patients to the Department of Restorative Dentistry, in dental faculty of Tabriz in 2014. Materials & Methods: In this descriptive-cross sectional study, we used a questionnaire including questions about the degree of postoperative sensitivity of posterior composite restoration among 180 patient referred to the Department of Restorative Dentistry. After that composite restorations placed, patients recalled for postoperative sensitivity recording. The data were analyzed by Statistical- descriptive method. Results: Means of pain degree on the base of gender are 0.75 in males and 0.76 in females. On the base of jaw type, means of pain degree are 0.59 in maxilla and 1.1 in mandible. Also, was observed that pain degree in child and adolescent group is more than other groups. Conclusion: There was a significant difference in the incidence of postoperative sensitivity among Class II Premolars Composite Restorations regarding range of patients age.
