dc.description.abstractDental anomalies are prevalent in all populationall over the world.the aim of the present study was to evaluate the prevalence of developmental dental anomalies in patients referring to the faculty of dentistry at Tabriz university at medical sciences. Method : in the present cross E sectional study 700 panoramic radiographs of patients refrring to the department of radiology at faculty of dentistry wer examined . six dental anomalies were avaluated on panoramic images . which included missing teeth , dilacerations , microdonatia , supernumerary teeth , taurodontism and fusion. Results: the results showed that 20.7% of the patients had dental anomalies. The most common anomaly was dilacerations (9.2%) and microdontia, missing teeth, supernumerary teeth and fusion were less common. In descending order. The prevalence of anomalies was equal in both genders. Dilacerations was more common in right mandible and microdontia was more frequent in the left maxilla compared to other anomalies.
