Emergence profile as well as tooth dimensions are important factors in esthetic dentistry when replacing a lost or missing tooth. The purpose of the current study was to measure the buccal/ lingual divergence angles from bone crest to cementoenamel junction and the buccolingual diameter of the mandibular and maxillary teeth. Materials and methods: One hundred computed tomographic data were evaluated three times by an examiner. Both buccolingual and emergence profile were measured at bone level using computer program. Results: In maxilla the mean buccolingual diameter was 6.32, 5.86, 7.74, 7.96, 8.00 and 10.09 for central incisor, lateral incisor, canine, first and second premolar, and first molar, respectively. Corresponding numbers for mandibular teeth was 5.65, 6.05, 7.51, 6.59, 6.90 and 8.85. The buccal and lingual divergence angle ranged from 3.10 to 4.97 and 2.21 to 3.38 for maxillary teeth, respectively, while its range was from 3.22 to 4.26 and 1.80 to 8.30 for mandibular teeth. Conclusion: The results of the current study should be considered while designing artificial crowns or implant abutments in order to achieve desirable esthetics
