dc.description.abstractIt has a great influence on the trend of determining patients prognosis to diagnose oral lesions quickly . preparing radiographs is one of the most important ways to obtain this aim. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of the lost gear students of Tabriz faculty of dentistry about radiographic diagnosis of the oral lesions and differentiation of the malignant and benign lesions. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive study 50 last years students of Tabriz faculty of dentistry filled out a questionaire which includes 17 questions about the radiographic diagnosis of the lesions. Data abtained from the descriptive study and chi- square test and mean difference test was analyzed using SPSS. 15 statistic software for independent groups. Results: The mean of accurate answers was 12.04 . The least accurate answer was 3 and the most of it was 16. The most was about borders of the malignant lesion (94 percent) and the least was about timing and also sarcomas. Conclusion: Totally the knowledge level of the last year students of the dentistry was at a top limit about the differentiation of the graphic view of the jaws malignant lesions. (Totally the last year students of the dentistry had a higher level of knowledge about the differentiation of the graphic view of the jaws malignant lesions.)
