Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering is used to restore and repair body tissue defects by biodegradable scaffolds, stem cells and stimulating factors. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of MSH on the expression level of osteogenesis genes in human dental pulp stem cells transfered on polyester scaffolds.Method and Materials: Dental Pulp Stem Cells was cultured and transferred to polyesteric scaffolds. Scaffolds containing Dental Pulp Stem Cells were divided to two groups, Control group (without stimulus) and Case group (in the presence of MSH). The expression of BMP2, Osteocalcin, RUNX2 and DSSP genes was evaluated by PCR after 14 days. The collected data from this study was statistically analyzed with SPSS software. Results:According to collected data from this study, the level of the expression in stem cells increased in case group (in the presence of MSH stimulus) compared with control group (without stimulus). This difference is statically significant (P<0.5).Conclusion: The mineralization of dental pulp stem cells in the polyesteric scaffolds field and in the presence of MSH stimulus is increased.
