| dc.description.abstract | Although the overall rate of odontolus patients, the amount of individuals who require the complete dentures increases everyday. The condition in which the satisfaction of patients is obtained is of the important basics in dental prosthesis the aim of this study is the evaluation of cross sectional process of patientsE satisfaction with complete denture. Methods and Materials: in a before after descriptive study in 2012 on 30 patients referring to dental prosthesis ward of Tabriz faculty of dentistry, the process of patientsE satisfaction with complete denturs 1 week and 2 months after the delivery of dentures in 7 fields of satisfaction with chewing capability, comfort in chewing the soft foods, comfort in chewing the hard foods, comfort in cleaning dentures, taste, speaking and the general satisfaction by using a researcher made questionaire scoring 0-10 which its validity was approved. Findings: we studied 30 cases in which the satisfaction improvement process was statistically meaningful in soft food chewing, hard food chewing, comfort in cleaning dentures, speaking and general satisfaction( P=0.022, P=0.023, P=0.018, P=0.001, P=0.001), the change of patientsE satisfaction was not significant in food taste sensation and chewing capability( P=0.144, P=0.092). Conclusion: In this study the satisfaction of patients was improved in all evaluated fields but the improvement in soft food chewing, hard foot chewing, comfort in cleaning dentures, speaking and general satisfaction was significant, and the change in taste sensation and chewing capability was not statistically significant | |
