Tabriz Faculty of Dentistry is located in Tabriz, capital city of East Azarbayjan Province and is the only dental schoolwestern Iran. Tabriz Dental School was founded in 1986. The first students entered in 1987, graduating in 1993. In 1997 the school moved into a new and modern building, covering 22,000 square meters. The school expanded its educational programs in 2001 by offering its postgraduate specialty courses in three fields and at present it offers seven postgraduate specialty courses. Prospects for the Future We are determined, by asking for assistance from the Almighty, to promote the school's academic excellence, raise the standards of oral health in the community and join the circle of highly qualified dental schools in the country through optimizing instruction standards and innovative research programs. Mission Tabriz Faculty of Dentistry as the only dental school in the north-western Iran and as a part of a major university has combined and enjoyed the endeavors of competent and qualified academic staff with appropriate facilities and has committed itself to: Training highly qualified general practitioners and specialists; Updating the knowledge and skill of the graduates working in the north-western Iran;

    The accuracy of implant molding depends on various factors. Among these, molding technique and molding materials are two important factors in the accuracy of implant molding. Due to the significant role of precision implantation in the success of implant treatments through the preparation of prostheses with high adaptation and no stress, and due to the high price of incremental silicone and the reasonable price of compression silicone in the country, the aim of this study was to compare the accuracy of implantation Implant with compression and incremental silion material with and without splint. Necessity of the project: Due to the unprecedented increase in the cost of incremental silicone material and also the unavailability of some molding materials whose quality was guaranteed, so we decided to compare the molding accuracy of incremental and compact silicone material with and without splint. 1) Determining and comparing the accuracy of implant fixture molding in incremental silicon molding with and without splint 2) Determining and comparing the accuracy of implant fixture molding in compression silicone molding with and without splint 3) Determining and comparing the molding accuracy of incremental and compression silicone materials with and without splints Materials and methods: In this experimental-laboratory study, a two-piece metal index was prepared which could be fastened by male and female and fixed to each other by 2 clamps. After complete set, each analog was numbered and the coupling impression corresponding to the analogs was fixed on them. Two analogues were prepared together without splinting and two analogues were prepared together with splinting. After preparing the molding, the distance between the outermost part of the analogues inside the gypsum cast was measured by drawing digital lines parallel to the transverse side of the index by digital caliper. Accuracy of performing molding in 4 subgroups (12 samples in each subgroup), 1. No splint with incremental silicone molding material 2. With splint with incremental silicone molding material 3. No splint with compression silicone molding material 4. With splint with molding material Compression silicone was compared. The results were analyzed by SPSS 24 statistical software and two-way ANOVA and one-sample T-test. Results: In this study, the accuracy of incremental silicon molding in splinted and non-splinted implants was 0.03 ± 0.03 and 0.05. 0.08, respectively. And with compression silicone molding material with and without splint were 0.02 ± 0.03, 0.06. 0.09, respectively. In both incremental and compression silicone molding materials, the accuracy of molding in splint method was higher than without splint (P = 0.001). Conclusion: The result of this study shows that the accuracy of molding incremental and compact silicones in the splint method is higher than the non-splint method. The effect of splint on molding accuracy was significant. In the method with splint, the molding accuracy is the same in compression silicon and incremental silicon, and in the method without splint, the molding accuracy is the same in incremental silicon and compression silicon.
