Efforts to socialize in libraries are to achieve career success, and in this regard, it is not enough to just pay attention to one objective or subjective factor; Rather, the two must be considered together Purpose: The purpose of this study is to "investigate the relationship between organizational socialization of librarians working in public and university libraries in Tabriz with their professional success." Method and materials: This research is a descriptive-correlational study and the statistical population is librarians working in public and university libraries in Tabriz. Data collection tools were demographic questionnaires, Chao organizational socialization, and Herzberg career success. Data collection was done in university libraries in person and in public libraries in person and automation. To study the research variables, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used and due to the normality of the data, one-sample parametric T-test and Pearson correlation were used using SPSS software. Results: The findings showed that the organizational socialization of librarians in both public and academic libraries is at a desirable level. On the other side, no positive relationship was observed between demographic characteristics and organizational socialization of librarians in both types of libraries. Also in both types of libraries, there was positive relationship between job success and organizational socialization. Conclusion: If librarians learn the values of the organization and its norms and rules, and the organization transfers the necessary skills and information to them, and on the other hand, meeting the needs of librarians, both sensually and internally, as well as objectively and externally, causes Librarians will have better socialization and ultimately, their career success will increase.Item type: Item , Plagiarism from the perspective of Faculty members in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences: A Qualitative Study.(Tabriz University of Medical Sciences,School of Management and Medical Informatics, 2018/03/11) Soltani, Nayer; Habibi, Shafie; Medical Library and Information Science; Abdekhoda, MohammadhiwaAbstract: Background: The most effective way to manage problems in research, especially plagiarism, is to prevent them from initially occurring. Therefore, comprehensive planning to prevent and reduce plagiarism, or actions to internalize honesty in speech, behavior, and actions, will not only make researches worthwhile but also reduce plagiarism. Objective: the research sought to investigate the view points and experiences of Faculty Members in Tabriz University of Medival Science regard in plagiarism. Methods and Materials : In this qualitative research, eighteen faculty members of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences participated from 2016-2017. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview and analyzed by qualitative content analysis (Mayring method). Results: Effective factors in the prevention of plagiarism were extracted and presented in 35 subclasses and 16 themes including policy-making, legislation, an institutionalization of ethics in research, and the application of technology capabilities. Conclusion: Providing strategic and operational plans to internalize ethics in research and gradual changes in policy making and updating laws and regulations are factors affecting preventive measures. Also, with an increase in information literacy and applying information technology capabilities, it is possible to prevent informed and uninformed plagiarism.
