Abstract
Cancer is now the second leading cause of death after cardiovascular disease (22%), and its incidence depends on factors such as age, genetic background and gender. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women, according to published statistics. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 8 women has breast cancer. The largest group of non-coding RNAs is the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), which plays different roles in regulating the expression of different genes and cell activities. The TMPO gene is involved in the process of cellular consolidation and prevents the duplication of nuclear laminae and over-activation of the mitotic pathway. In this study, the expression of this gene in patients with breast cancer was investigated. Methods: In this research, 50 samples of your tissue tumore and 50 tumor margin samples of cancer patients were examined. We extracted RNA from the tissues of interest by the extraction kit (Trizol), synthesized cDNA from it, then performed Real Time PCR and finally performed statistical analysis. Results: The sample size was 50. The mean age was 56.7 years, of which 21 samples were under 55 years and 29 samples were over 55 years. The results showed that in the study of TMPO-AS1 lncRNA gene expression, there is a significant relationship between gene expression in cancerous tissue and healthy tissue. This study suggests the high potential of diagnostic biomarkers of TMPO-AS1 lncRNA expression in patients with breast cancer.
